Letter: Gleaners thank Siletz for $3,000 grant

To the Editor:

Philomath Community Gleaners would like to thank the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians for their generous November 2023 grant of $3,000 for food expenses to our group.

Our membership has grown over the last year due to increased prices for food, rent and gas, which particularly affects lower-income families. We currently have 516 members including 169 children (an increase of 20 children from over a year ago).

The generosity of the Siletz tribe has been a huge help for our group over the years and we are extremely grateful for their help.
