FRIDAY, AUG. 13

• Warrant, 2:20 a.m., 1700 block of Maple Street, police arrested a 33-year-old Philomath woman and a 37-year-old Philomath man on warrants for misdemeanor contempt of court charges.

• Theft (reported), 3 p.m., 200 block of Dampier Drive, report of a recycling bin taken from the street.

• Fraud (reported), 4:07 p.m., 2600 block of Newton Street, caller attempting to buy a phone through Facebook Marketplace gave bank account information and was defrauded for several thousand dollars.

• Suspicious circumstance (reported), 5:45 p.m., 3000 block of Main Street, man reported a verbal altercation with an intoxicated man.

• Altering firearms ID, 1:47 p.m., 1900 block of Main Street, police arrested Noah David Colgrove, 28, of Sweet Home, on a felony charge of altering identification of firearms.

• Warrant, 3:54 p.m., West Hills Road and Rosecrest Drive, police arrested Dawson Tyler Dewolfe, 22, of Oakridge, on a felony warrant for parole violation.

• Warrant, 1:53 p.m., 200 block of North 20th Place, police arrested a 20-year-old Sweet Home man on misdemeanor warrant charges for failure to appear in court.

SATURDAY, AUG. 14

• Crash, 8:10 a.m., Kings Valley Highway and Hoskins Road, driver lost control of vehicle and drove off the road into a steep ditch while overturning; farmer nearby helped driver out of the car and drove her to a residence; vehicle towed and a family member transported the driver to medical care.

• Lost property, 10:01 a.m., Highway 20 and Highway 34, motorist reported that a cooler containing filet knives and a handgun had fallen out of his boat during a drive from Philomath to Newport; the property was found the following day along Highway 20 between mileposts 31 and 32 and turned into Oregon State Police.

• Found property, 3:10 p.m., West Hills Road and Rosecrest Drive, BB handgun found in road.

• Crash, 2:15 p.m., Highway 20 and Highway 34, no injuries. 

THURSDAY, AUG. 19

• Driving while suspended, 3:49 p.m., Fern Road near Chapel Drive, deputies arrested a 31-year-old Alsea man on a misdemeanor charge of driving while license suspended; the driver was also cited for driving uninsured.
