The Benton County Historical Society announced the recent additions of five new members to the organization’s board of trustees — B. Bond Starker, Mary Bauti, Joan Truckenbrod, Cody Hull and Larry Landis.

Starker serves as chairman of the board for Starker Forests.

Brauti, is a longtime Corvallis resident and supporter of arts, culture, humanities and community organizations.

Truckenbrod is a professor emeritus in the Art and Technology Department at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, an active artist who has exhibited at major institutions worldwide and the owner of Truckenbrod Art, a contemporary art gallery in Corvallis.

Hull is the owner of David Hull Tree Farms in Bellfountain.

Landis is the former director of the Special Collections and Archives Research Center at Oregon State University.

The board now features 16 members with five advisers.

Other board members include David Feeney, Kelly Gallagher, Chick Gerke, Rod Harvey, Susan Klinkhammer, Ron Marek, Wendy Beck Nichols, Janet Nishihara, Lorna Avery Scott, Jo Anne Trow and Shirley Wirth.

Marek serves as board president, Gallagher as vice president, Harvey as treasurer and Klinkhammer as secretary.
