The city of Philomath and the Philomath School District will host a 16th Street grand reopening ceremony at 3 p.m. Friday at Philomath Elementary School.
The public is invited to the event, which will celebrate the road project’s recent completion.
The construction extended South 16th Street from behind the school to connect with the intersection of South 17th and Cedar. In addition to the new section of street, the project also included wide sidewalks, stormwater runoff and areas for student pickup and dropoff.
