The Philomath High School girls tennis overwhelmed Estacada Thursday afternoon with an 8-0 victory on the road.
Six matches were played on the court and Philomath won all of them in straight sets with a games advantage of 72-8. The team won two doubles matches by forfeit to account for the final score.
Bailey Bell (6-0, 6-0), Adele Beckstead (6-0, 6-1), Megan Reese (6-1, 6-2) and Elise Reese (6-3, 6-0) swept the singles matches for the Warriors. The No. 1 doubles team of Phoebe Dodson and Daniella Carlisle won 6-0, 6-1, and the No. 2 team of Nadia Durski and Lorelei Schell won 6-0, 6-0.
The Warriors have an overall record of 10-2-1 this season, 5-0-1 against Special District 2 teams. Philomath heads to Junction City at 4 p.m. Tuesday for duals against the host and Creswell.
