A COVID-19 drive-through testing site will be available in Philomath on Sunday, Feb. 21, Benton County officials announced. Everyone is welcomed to be tested and no health insurance is required but those planning to visit are required to make an appointment.
The testing site will run from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., at Philomath High School (2054 Applegate St.). The test involves a quick and pain-free self-administered nasal swab, officials said.
The service will be performed with individuals staying in vehicles. Information remains confidential, people to be tested do not need to have symptoms and no identification is needed.
To register and select an appointment time, go online to www.doineedacovid19test.com. Each person must register individually with one person per appointment.
The same service is also available from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, in Lebanon at The River Center, 3000 S. Santiam Highway.
Casa Latinos Unidos, Benton County, Linn County and the Oregon Health Authority are coming together to provide the service.
