FRIDAY, AUG. 11
• No calls of public significance reported.
Other calls: Emergency medical services responded to calls at 12:37 a.m. in the 300 block of North 16th Street and 11:18 p.m. in the 1600 block of Pioneer Street.
SATURDAY, AUG. 12
• 7:48 p.m. — Firefighters responded to a car fire at the request of Lincoln County on Highway 20 about 7 miles east of Eddyville. Local resources handled the incident, however, and Philomath was canceled en route.
Other calls: Emergency medical services responded to calls at 12:13 a.m. in the 1600 block of Pioneer Street, 12:30 p.m. in the 30000 block of Decker Ridge Road, 4:42 p.m. in the 300 block of North 16th Lane, 6:11 p.m. in the 1200 block of North 19th Street and 10:01 p.m. in the 1100 block of North Ninth Street.
SUNDAY, AUG. 13
• 9:50 a.m. — Emergency personnel responded to a two-vehicle head-on crash at North 19th Street and College Street. One passenger in a vehicle was transported via ambulance to a local hospital.
• 8:18 p.m. — Philomath Fire and Rescue dispatched Capt. Andy Louden to the Lookout Fire on Lookout Mountain in Willamette National Forest in Lane County. Louden was assigned to serve as deputy incident commander as part of an Oregon State Fire Marshal incident management team. As of Aug. 18, he remained on the scene.
Other calls: Emergency medical services responded to calls at 5:31 a.m. in the 300 block of North 15th Street, 11:56 a.m. in the 1200 block of North 19th Street and 10:47 p.m. in the 1100 block of North Ninth Street.
MONDAY, AUG. 14
• 3:07 a.m. — Firefighters responded to a situation involving a propane torch at a parking lot blacktopping operation at Philomath Market on Main Street. No fire was discovered.
• 2:37 p.m. — Firefighters responded to a small wildland fire along Highway 34 in the Alsea area. The fire was handled by local crews, however, and Philomath was canceled en route.
Other calls: Emergency medical services responded to calls at 7:13 p.m. in the 1100 block of North Ninth Street, 8:53 p.m. in the 100 block of North Ninth Street and 11:35 p.m. in the 3000 block of Applegate Street.
TUESDAY, AUG. 15
• 9:12 p.m. — Firefighters responded as part of an all-county call-out to assist with a large wildland fire in the 26000 block of Sulphur Springs Road west of Adair Village. Philomath Fire and Rescue’s response included a brush engine with three personnel and a duty officer.
• 10:13 p.m. — Philomath firefighters were also included on a wildland fire call in the 1500 block of Northwest Sulphur Springs Road but were assigned only to the earlier fire in the region.
Other calls: Emergency medical services responded to a call at 2:33 p.m. in the 2200 block of Rosecrest Drive.
WEDNESDAY, AUG. 16
• 12:21 a.m. — Philomath firefighters were included on a wildland fire call in the 1200 block of Northwest Highland Dell Drive, Corvallis, but were assigned only to the earlier fire in the region in the 26000 block of Northwest Sulphur Springs Road.
THURSDAY, AUG. 17
• 8:02 p.m. — Firefighters responded to a fire in the 600 block of Heritage Hills Road. Upon arrival, personnel extinguished a fire that had ignited from farm equipment.
