SATURDAY, OCT. 28

• 2:49 a.m. — Emergency medical services responded to a crash involving a vehicle that hit a power pole on Main Street and Newton Street. The driver was transported to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center with minor injuries. See separate story.

• 7:20 p.m. — Firefighters responded to a large slash pile fire near Highway 34 in the Alsea area. The Philomath response was canceled en route.

SUNDAY, OCT. 29

• 7:54 p.m. — Firefighters responded to an illegal burn pile near the rear of a residence in the 1300 block of College Street and assisted with extinguishment.

MONDAY, OCT. 30

• 12:46 p.m. — Firefighters responded to a report of a large slash pile fire near Highway 34 in the Alsea area. The Philomath response was canceled en route.

TUESDAY, OCT. 31

• 2:47 p.m. — Emergency medical services responded to a crash on Highway 34 just south of the intersection with Highway 20 near Philomath. No injuries were reported.
