FRIDAY, NOV. 22

• 10:50 a.m. — Firefighters responded to a fire alarm in the 100 block of James Street.

• 6:41 p.m. — Firefighters responded to a possible structure fire at Philomath High School with smoke reportedly coming from a kiln in the art room. The response included the fire chief and an engine crew, which did not find a fire. The kiln was shut off and fans used to clear the room of smoke. Philomath School District maintenance personnel were also at the scene.

Other calls: Emergency medical services responded to calls at 3:02 a.m. (Main Street), 5:24 a.m. (Heritage Hills Drive), 5:04 p.m. (Highway 34) and 9:10 p.m. (College Street).

SATURDAY, NOV. 23

• No calls of public significance reported.

SUNDAY, NOV. 24

• No calls of public significance reported.

Other calls: Emergency medical services responded to calls at 1:11 p.m. (Pioneer Street) and 5:14 p.m. (Melvill Cres).

MONDAY, NOV. 25

• 1:48 p.m. — Emergency medical services responded to a vehicle-bicycle crash in the 6600 block of Reservoir Road. The Corvallis Fire Department also responded and arrived at the scene to set up in the Bald Hill path parking lot. A Corvallis Fire engine crew also arrived to assist. Philomath Fire and Rescue was asked to block the westbound lane of Reservoir Road  during the operation. The victim was transported via Corvallis Fire ambulance to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center with serious injuries.

• 7:01 p.m. — Firefighters responded to a fire alarm in the 2000 block of Applegate Street.

Other calls: Emergency medical services responded to a call at 6:20 p.m. (North 16th Street).

TUESDAY, NOV. 26

• 6:30 p.m. — Emergency medical services responded to a single-vehicle crash at Fern Road and Powderhouse Road. A 43-year-old Corvallis man reportedly drove off the road and struck a tree with the damage trapping him in the vehicle. The driver’s side door was removed to free the driver. According to BCSO, the driver planned to self-transport for medical treatment.
