FRIDAY, JAN. 30

• 4:15 p.m. — Emergency medical services responded to the reported crash of a vehicle into a building at the corner of Applegate Street and South 13th Street. The driver, reported by Philomath Police as an 82-year-old Philomath man, was transported to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center. The crew helped with cleanup at the scene. See separate story.

Other calls: Emergency medical services responded to a call at 3:10 p.m. (Kings Valley Highway).

SATURDAY, JAN. 31

• 4:18 p.m. — Firefighters responded to a report of a structure fire in the 31000 block of Bellfountain Road. The call was quickly canceled when information came in that a neighbor was barbecuing. Fire and Rescue’s response included five personnel in an engine.

• 8:24 p.m. — Firefighters responded to a report of a barn fire in the area of Bellfountain Road and Alpine Road. Monroe Rural Fire arrived at the scene and canceled all other incoming resources, including Philomath. The fire was determined to be a large burn pile. Fire and Rescue’s response included eight personnel in an engine, water tender and command vehicle.

Other calls: Emergency medical services responded to a call at 4:59 a.m. (North 19th Street).

SUNDAY, FEB. 1

• 1:04 p.m. — Firefighters responded to a report of a single-car crash on the western edge of Benton County east of Burnt Woods on Highway 20. After a search of the area, no crash could be found. Fire and Rescue’s response included six personnel in an engine and a command vehicle. Two additional personnel provided coverage to the district.

• 8:41 p.m. — Firefighters responded to a single-vehicle crash off Highway 20 about 2 miles west of Philomath. Upon arrival, the vehicle was located but without an occupant. The crew remained on scene to assist the Benton County Sheriff’s Office with an investigation. Fire and Rescue’s response included five personnel in an engine and a command vehicle.

Other calls: Emergency medical services responded to calls at 10:48 a.m. (Sunshine Avenue), 5:07 p.m. (Marys River Estates Road), 10:13 p.m. (Main Street) and 10:13 p.m. (West Hills Road).

MONDAY, FEB. 2

TUESDAY, FEB. 3

Other calls: Emergency medical services responded to calls at 4:10 a.m. (North 16th Lane), 8:09 a.m. (Main Street), 10:26 a.m. (Applegate Street) and 4:17 p.m. (North Ninth Street).
