• 10:22 a.m. — Firefighters responded to the activation of a fire alarm in the 600 block of Willowbrook Drive.

Other calls: Emergency medical services responded to calls at 5:50 a.m. (North 13th Street) and 4:06 p.m. (Wyatt Lane).

SUNDAY, AUG. 24

• 8:35 a.m. — Firefighters responded to the activation of a fire alarm in the 400 block of Melvil Cres.

Other calls: Emergency medical services responded to calls at 7:29 a.m. (Pheasant Court), 8:04 a.m. (Highway 34), 10:09 p.m. (Wyatt Lane) and 11:53 p.m. (North 12th Street).

MONDAY, AUG. 25

TUESDAY, AUG. 26

• 7:48 a.m. — Firefighters responded to the activation of a fire alarm at Philomath Middle School. The alarm was activated due to multiple lightning strikes in the area, which caused a disruption to the system.

• 8:29 a.m. — While at the middle school on the fire alarm call, firefighters responded to a report from the Philomath School District maintenance crew that a tree near the softball fields had been struck by lightning and was damaged. See separate story.
