The Philomath Fire and Rescue Board of Directors plans to meet at 3 p.m. Monday at Station 201 with an agenda that includes final approval of the fire chief’s contract and acceptance of a wildfire season grant.

Fire Chief Chancy Ferguson’s salary package to be voted upon includes a 5.3% cost of living increase. The Oregon State Fire Marshal awarded a $35,000 grant to Philomath for its wildfire season staffing needs.

Also on the agenda is review of a Special Districts Association of Oregon consulting services contract, job description updates, the board’s annual self-appraisal and other business. Time is also provided for reports from Ferguson, Deputy Fire Chief Rich Saalsaa, office administrator Ashley Scott, the volunteer association’s Dan Eddy, the firefighter union’s Scott Moser and City Council liaison Christopher McMorran.
