Kris Lee Flegal, 69, of Philomath, Oregon died unexpectedly at his home on Friday, December 11, 2020.
Kris was a lifelong resident of Philomath, Oregon and graduated from Philomath High School in 1969. He was employed with Pioneer Telephone for 35 years where he retired as a cable splicer in June of 2006.
In his retirement years Kris enjoyed traveling with his wife, Teresa, cooking, movies and was an avid reader. He also, more than anything, loved spending time with his family and was an amazing and loving Husband, Father and Papa, who doted on his wife and family. “Papa” as he was affectionately known by his family, had an infectious sense of humor and always brought fun and laughter to every occasion. He loved family gatherings where he could share his new found culinary and BBQ skills and always managed to make every gathering extra special with his special touches.
He is survived by his loving wife, Teresa Flegal, of 23 years, His mother, Pearl Flegal of Philomath; Son, Lee Flegal (LouAnn) of Grants Pass; Step daughters, Kimberley Kinion (Roy) of Toledo; and Brandy Thomson (Ian) of Philomath; 10 Grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 2 nieces. He was proceeded in death by his Father, Jack R. Flegal; daughter Lynn and his sister, Karen.
