Benton County’s Historic Courthouse Advisory Committee invites residents to provide input on the future of the historic courthouse that has been in operation since 1889.

Construction of a new courthouse and district attorney’s office is planned for completion in 2026.

The committee has been exploring ideas to make a recommendation to the Benton County Commissioners this spring.

The committee is currently soliciting feedback through an online questionnaire with input accepted through Feb. 15. The survey is also available at all county offices.

Other opportunities to participate will follow as the project progresses, officials said.

Project costs and a final decision about the courthouse’s reuse will be made in the future, following additional county planning and public input activities, officials said.
