A close look at the Millpond Crossing housing development with a city councilor’s long list of concerns will be a topic of discussion on Monday at the Philomath City Council meeting at City Hall.

The Sept. 12 meeting begins at 7 p.m. and for those not attending in person, it will also be livestreamed on the city’s YouTube channel.

According to the agenda and packet materials, City Councilor Catherine Biscoe plans to talk about Millpond Crossing issues during the councilor reports segment of the meeting. Biscoe is asking for a review and planned action “to address responsiveness requests of the City Council due to increasing level and degree of concerns and to evaluate recent DEQ reports.”

The agenda includes time for a public hearing, discussion and decision on proposed amendments to the flood hazard overlay section of the city’s development code. Discussions on records retention issues and social service agency grants are also on the list of agenda topics along with an ordinance vote on a franchise agreement with Alyrica.

Cascade West Council of Governments Executive Director Ryan Vogt is scheduled to give a presentation.
