The Philomath City Council will tackle an agenda at its Monday night meeting that includes discussion on next steps for developing city property at 13th and Main streets as well as votes on a police services fee ordinance and a resolution on setting the fee at $5.

The July 13 meeting is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. at Philomath City Hall.

The city received interest in the 1348 Main St. project from two qualified developers and now plans to prepare and issue a request for proposals for “mixed-use hotel or housing above commercial space.” The draft RFP document shows the top choice for the space as a boutique hotel above ground-floor commercial space. The published timeline shows proposals would be due to the city by Aug. 4.

Other items on the July 13 agenda include a contract for prosecutor services, a National Farmers Market Week proclamation, staff and council member reports, and presentations from Greenbelt Land Trust and Cascades West Council of Governments and Community Services Consortium.

For those not attending in person, the city livestreams meetings on its YouTube channel.

Public comments are typically limited to three minutes and residents can participate in person or submit written comments by noon on the day of the meeting.
