The Philomath Park Advisory Board will continue discussions on the development of a park volunteer program at its meeting at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall.
The board took up the subject during its June meeting with information provided by Chelsea Starner, assistant city manager, and preliminary discussions on potential parameters for utilizing volunteers in parks. Board members may take a vote on recommending to the City Council that the program is developed.
Also on the agenda for the Aug. 6 meeting will be discussion and possible vote on a proposal to update municipal code to better reflect the current needs and operations of the board.
The board includes Larry Sleeman (chair), Yvonne McMillan (vice chair), Scott Austin, Rose Bricker, Owen Cass, Tyler Pellett and Lindy Young.
