In a showdown for first place in the final 4A/3A/2A/1A Special District 2 boys tennis standings, Cascade took a 6-2 victory on Tuesday at Philomath.

The Cougars swept the doubles matches with a split in singles.

Against Cascade, Dylan Bell posted an impressive victory at No. 2 singles, 6-1, 6-1. Andrew Leonard also continued his winning ways with a 6-0, 7-5 victory at No. 3 singles. In the No. 1 singles match, Cascade’s Zach Moore downed Philomath’s Dawson Beckstead.

Cascade won three of the four doubles matches in straight sets, including Philomath’s No. 1 team of Teddy Benbow and Noah Aynes falling by a count of 6-2, 6-2. At No. 2 doubles, Mark Grimmer and Gradin Fairbanks pushed their opponents to three sets but lost 6-2, 3-6, 6-2.
