Benton County is developing an Energy Resilience Plan focused on Monroe and Philomath with funding from the Oregon Department of Energy’s County Energy Resilience Grant Program awarded to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office.

The plan aims to help communities prepare for power outages and other emergencies by protecting critical services, strengthening community resilience and addressing local needs and priorities.

County officials are requesting community input through a 15-minute confidential survey. Residents’ feedback will directly shape the strategies included in the final plan.

The survey is open to all community members interested in contributing their experiences and ideas for emergency preparedness.
