Benton County Health Services wants to hear from people ages 18-54 through a community survey about reproductive and sexual health.
Officials said the goal of the survey is to assess barriers, gaps and needs around accessing reproductive health services in the community.
“We know that people have faced challenges when trying to access reproductive and sexual health care,” said Barbara Christianson, Benton County Reproductive Health Program manager. “We want to hear from our community members about their experiences so we can work to improve the system of care. It’s more important now than ever.”
The Benton County Reproductive Health Program will use data from the survey to inform referral processes and workflows for Benton County Health Services (Benton County Health Department and the Community Health Centers of Benton & Linn Counties). The data will be reported to the Oregon Reproductive Health program to fulfill grant reporting requirements and to advocate for local and state-level systems change to address the reproductive health care services shortage.
Officials said the survey takes about 10 minutes to complete and the last day to respond is May 31. The survey is voluntary, and all information collected will remain anonymous. Participants can opt into a drawing to win a $50 Visa gift card as an appreciation for their time.
The survey is available online via Microsoft Forms in both English and Spanish. People who would like the survey in another language or who would like printed copies of the survey should contact the Benton County Reproductive Health Program at 541-766-6803 or RHProgram@bentoncountyor.gov.
