The AARP Foundation Tax-Aide program will return beginning Feb. 2 and will offer its volunteer preparation assistance this tax season at Philomath Community Library.

Volunteers will be available on Thursdays from Feb. 2 through April 13, according to information published on AARP’s website. Volunteers help people figure their taxes through in-person assistance and e-filing. An AARP membership is not required.

The free service targets taxpayers over age 50 with low to moderate income but is available to anyone. The library is located at 1050 Applegate St.

Appointments are required to utilize the service. For those interested, call 541-602-5829. For general information on the program, go online to www.aarp.org/taxaide.
