Philomath High senior Roman Robins placed 18th in the boys golf team’s appearance at a competitive Oregon West Conference match on Monday at Cross Creek Golf Club in Dallas.

Robins turned in scores of 46 on the front nine and 47 on the back, finishing strong with par on the 17th and 18th holes.

The Warriors had three freshmen competing with the varsity team — Conrad Yates was 26th at 107, Corbin Black 28th at 115 and Isaiah Hood 29th at 125.

Cascade won the meet by 10 strokes over runner-up Sweet Home with a team score of 329. Philomath finished sixth at 440. Sweet Home junior Trent Harvey was the individual champion with a 74.

The Warriors are scheduled to play next on May 4 at Diamond Woods Golf Club in Monroe.
