VOLUME 7, NUMBER 40
Wednesday, February 18, 2026
Good morning, Philomath.
The county’s emergency manager identified the top threats and what folks should prioritize to be ready when disaster strikes. The girls basketball team pulled out a double-OT thriller over Cascade. The boys didn’t fare as well but are still tied for first place in the conference. We have a short article about Friday evening’s Samaritan Awards and a preview of Thursday’s Philomath School Board meeting. The latest Mount Union Stories is on the Rev. N.W. Allen. Partner content includes a couple of Oregon Capital Chronicle stories out of the state legislature and a piece from the Oregon Journalism Project about arena funding negotiations to keep the Blazers in Portland. — Brad Fuqua, Publisher/Editor
