VOLUME 6, NUMBER 222
Wednesday, October 22, 2025

Good morning, Philomath.

The cost for your garbage to be hauled away will be going up by 3.57% and recycling rules have changed. In Tuesday’s sports, Kya Bolton scored four goals in the team’s shutout over Cascade, the volleyball team swept through North Marion and the boys soccer team ended up in a scoreless tie. Elsewhere, the holiday bazaar at Peace Lutheran is coming up Saturday and Benton County is giving $100,000 to help Osborn Aquatic Center. This week’s Mount Union Stories is about a man who went missing in 1918 and was found in a river. In an Oregon Journalism Project piece, state officials continue to make subsidized housing more expensive. — Brad Fuqua, Publisher/Editor
