Good morning, Philomath.

One of the most popular events in town during the year returns Sunday with the Public Safety Chili Cook-Off. It looks like there will be at least 22 types of chili to sample. The series of Philomath High season sports previews continues with a look at the girls soccer team. The Lincoln Chronicle shared a story with me about Samaritan Health ending its popular Medicare Advantage insurance plans. — Brad Fuqua, Publisher/Editor
