VOLUME 6, NUMBER 155
Saturday, August 2, 2025

Good morning, Philomath.

The Oregonian/OregonLive is running a contest for the title of “best small town in Oregon” and Philomath appears to be among the favorites. Plus, PYAC received a Nike Community Impact Fund grant and Sip and Stroll reported positive results from its recent event — all of those items included in my Three Things column this week. We also have the latest OSP Log and a preview of next week’s public meetings. I also posted informational briefs on Hunter’s Education Field Day and overdose awareness events being put on by the county. Another brief that I wrote yesterday afternoon (but not included below because of the time element) explained why the county fair’s Friday night concert had to be changed. — Brad Fuqua, Publisher/Editor
