MONDAY, APRIL 15

• 7:45 p.m. — Deputies arrested Chris B. Soeung, 36, of Tacoma, Washington, on a felony unauthorized use of a vehicle charge on Highway 20 near Woods Creek Road. Deputies received a report of a transient-looking male on a lawnmower near the shoulder of the highway causing a traffic hazard. It was also reported that the man had been earlier on Highway 20 without the mower. Soeung was arrested for taking the mower and also charged with third-dgree theft and second-degree criminal trespass. 

TUESDAY, APRIL 23

• 1:46 p.m. — Deputies responded to the 24600 block of Cardwell Hill Drive for a report of a vehicle that was broken into and a purse and cellphone stolen. The woman said she was hiking on the Fitton Green Trail when the incident occurred. The thief broke the window out of her car to steal the purse.

MONDAY, MAY 6

• 6:17 p.m. — Deputies responded to a report of a hit-and-run in the 2600 block of West Hills Road. A woman reported that another vehicle hit the back of her vehicle while she was pulling into her driveway and left the scene.

TUESDAY, MAY 7

• 6:05 a.m. — Deputies captured and transported a young female golden retriever from the Highway 34 and Homestead Drive area to Heartland Humane Society in Corvallis. The dog was not wearing a collar and not microchipped.

SATURDAY, MAY 11

• 12:37 a.m. — Deputies arrested a 26-year-old Corvallis man on a misdemeanor charge of driving while license revoked during a traffic stop on South Seventh Street near Applegate Street. The man was issued a citation in lieu of custody.
