The community is invited to attend the annual Veterans Day assembly at Philomath Middle School on Friday, Nov. 7. Organizers are especially encouraging local veterans to participate in the special event honoring their service.
The program is scheduled to begin at 8:10 a.m. The middle school is located at 2021 Chapel Drive.
The assembly will feature guest speaker Eric Niemann along with performances by the school’s band and choir. In a moving tribute, veterans in attendance will be recognized by standing when their respective service branch theme is performed.
Following the assembly, the Excel leadership class will host a reception in the school’s library, offering refreshments and an opportunity for students and community members to personally thank veterans for their service.
