The Northwest Youth Rodeo Association will hold finals weekend Aug. 14-16 at the Philomath Frolic and Rodeo arena. The NWYRA has not yet published start times but the competitions typically take place at noon on the Friday and 8 a.m. on the Saturday and Sunday.

The Challenge of Champions Tour bull-riding competition comes to the Philomath Frolic and Rodeo grounds at 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22.
The Public Safety Chili Cookoff is scheduled for 1-5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, at the rodeo grounds in the Yew Wood Corral. Proceeds benefit the 4Spirits Distillery Veteran Scholarship Fund, Philomath Police Foundation and the Benton County Sheriff's Foundation.
