Utility rates for next fiscal year, the General Fund fee and the proposed Transient Lodging Tax are all on the agenda for Wednesday’s Finance and Administration Committee meeting, scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.
The committee will take a look at proposed actions with utility rates. The city staff has concluded that the greatest need for increased rates would be with the storm drain and street fees.
The General Fund fee, implemented in 2017, is recommended by city staff to continue at $5 per month. The committee will also look at approving a TLT and scheduling a public hearing.
Also on the agenda will be discussion and decision on a cost-of-living adjustment for non-represented city staff and review of the city’s social media policy.
Sitting on the committee are Mayor Chas Jones and councilors David Low, who is the chair, and Matt Lehman.
The city plans to hold the meeting via Zoom. The public can watch the live feed of the meeting on the city’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/cityofphilomath. For those unable to view online, contact City Hall at 541-929-6148 to make viewing arrangements.
