Three people were injured Sunday in a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Bellfountain Road and Airport Avenue, Philomath Fire & Rescue reported.

Emergency responders were dispatched to the crash at 11:41 a.m. May 7 with a driver and passenger in one of the cars and a lone driver in the other. All three were transported via ambulance with injuries described as non-life-threatening to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis, Philomath Fire & Rescue Deputy Fire Chief Rich Saalsaa said.

The vehicle with two people was disabled in the intersection and the other with a driver and no passengers came to a rest on the side of southbound Bellfountain Road.

Philomath Fire & Rescue’s response included an incident commander, two nearby volunteers who live in the area, an engine with two personnel from the Main Street station and an engine with one personnel from the Llewellyn station.

The Corvallis Fire Department sent two ambulances and the Benton County Sheriff’s Office was at the scene to investigate the crash. Philomath Fire & Rescue assisted with oil cleanup on the roadway from the crash.

Saalsaa said southbound Bellfountain Road and westbound Airport Avenue were shut down for approximately 20 minutes to clear the roadway.
