A revision was made at 4:39 p.m. June 7, 2023 to include graduates from Blodgett. The university in a release to media had not included Blodgett students as graduates from Benton or Linn counties.

Twenty-five students from Philomath and four from Blodgett will receive degrees from Oregon State University Saturday, June 17 at Reser Stadium and Sunday, June 18 at the OSU-Cascade campus in Bend.

The schedule for the graduation ceremony in Corvallis shows the gates opening at 9 a.m., the processional beginning at 10 a.m. and entering the stadium at 10:30 a.m., and the ceremony beginning at 11 a.m. Tickets are not required.

The featured commencement speaker will be Dr. Charity Dean, an internal medicine specialist and founder of The Public Health Company, a startup harnessing artificial intelligence and machine learning to help global enterprises manage biological risk at scale. She was an assistant director in the California Department of Health and co-chair of the state’s COVID-19 testing task force that helped advise Gov. Gavin Newsome and guide California’s pandemic response. She is a 2000 graduate of OSU.

This year’s class includes a record 7,338 graduating students receiving 7,583 degrees, with 238 students receiving two degrees, two students who will receive three degrees and one student who will receive four degrees.

They will add to the ranks of OSU alumni, who have earned 287,469 degrees over the university’s 154-year history.
