As a major road project continues in the downtown vicinity, the Cascades West Area Commission on Transportation will meet at 5 p.m. Thursday at Philomath City Hall.
The meeting’s agenda includes an information-only presentation by the Oregon Department of Transportation on the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) and Great Streets 2.0.
Other presentations feature an ODOT official’s discussion on intercity transportation, the Connect Oregon Program in anticipation of future project analyses by commission members and a regional project discussion.
Oregon Transportation Commission updates, a demographic survey and meeting time survey, a Safe Streets and Roads for All update and various statewide updates are also on the agenda.
The commission has time set aside on its agenda for public comments.
Local representation on the 23-member commission includes Philomath City Council Matt Lehman and Benton County Commissioner Pat Malone. Linn County Commissioner Roger Nyquist will chair the meeting.
