The Philomath High School softball team saw its two-game win streak snapped Wednesday at Sweet Home with a 14-1 loss.
With the victory, the Huskies (11-10 overall, 5-5 Oregon West) took the season series over the Warriors by winning two of the three matchups.
Sweet Home pitcher Katriona Harris threw a one-hitter and the Huskies offense produced early to pull away. Philomath had eight errors in the loss.
In the circle, sophomore Hailey Smith pitched two innings and allowed one hit and four walks with three strikeouts. Junior Haley King went two innings and allowed two hits and one walk with one strikeout.
The Warriors (8-10, 3-8) are scheduled to host Stayton at 3:30 p.m. Thursday. The game is being promoted as “PYAC Future Warrior Night.”
