The Philomath School Board plans to meet virtually at 7 p.m. Monday to discuss the latest with the superintendent search process and a proposal from Mid Columbia Bus Co.

For the superintendent hiring issue, the board is expected to official hire a search agency, declare the vacancy, approve a search process calendar, discuss and adopt desired qualities and qualifications, decide upon details involving a screening committee, identify potential candidates to sit on the committee and create a salary range to be posted with the job announcement.
In addition, the Oregon School Boards Association consultant hired to organize a survey for the public will report results.
The Mid Columbia Bus Co., discussion involves a proposal to extend its contract with the school district for another five years until 2026. Two options will be presented to the board, including one that would add GPS units to each bus.
The superintendent is scheduled to give an update on the situation with the district’s possible return to in-classroom instruction. An update on the status of Philomath High athletics is also on the agenda.
The meeting will also include board reports, discussion of next month’s agenda items and other requests.
