Philomath student art is once again on the walls of the local museum. This year’s “Art: The 4th R” exhibit is marking its 40th anniversary with a show that opened this past Friday and will remain in place through April 9.

The show, located upstairs in the museum’s Moreland Auditorium, showcases recent artwork by Philomath School District students of all ages.

Established in 1982, Curator of Exhibitions Mark Tolonen said the display is the museum’s longest-standing tradition.

“This year we are pleased to see that Philomath Middle School has restarted its art program, so all grades K-12 are able to participate,” Tolonen said.

The museum is open from 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays. Admission is free.
