The Benton County Talks Trash Solid Waste Workgroup plans to formally deliver its final report, along with written public comments received during an extended open comment period, to the Benton County Board of Commissioners Tuesday, June 13.
“This important document will guide the commission’s deliberations for the future of solid waste and sustainable materials in Benton County,” Commissioner Pat Malone said.
The report represents the culmination of a substantial collaborative process involving the public and key stakeholders. Among the discussion points was the potentially contentious topic of management of the Coffin Butte regional landfill, which serves a significant portion of the Willamette Valley.
The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. in the Kalapuya Building’s Holmes-Shipley Board meeting room (4500 Research Way, Corvallis).
