The Philomath High School volleyball team dropped to 2-2 in Oregon West Conference play on Tuesday night with a loss at Sisters. The Outlaws took the match, 26-24, 25-16 and 25-20.

“The girls worked hard and had some good moments,” PHS coach Denee Newton said, adding that the team fought back in the first set from nine points down to push Sisters to the end. “Still a lot of work to do.”

Sisters headed into the match at No. 1 in the OSAA rankings. The Warriors were 13th.

On the stat sheet, senior Sage Kramer had 13 kills and eight digs. Senior Reagan Larson finished with 20 assists, had two ace serves and a solo block. Senior Taylor Roe finished with 14 digs. At the net, sophomore Ahnika Tryon and sophomore Clara Stanley had four and three block assists, respectively. Senior Ashlynn Barron had a 2.5 serve receive rating. Tryon and Stanley both served 100%.

The Warriors (3-4 overall) come home to play Stayton on Thursday. The match is scheduled for a 6 p.m. start.
