Philomath’s Music in the Park concert series on Thursday evening will feature Scruggs & the Steelbenders. The event begins at 6 p.m. in the gazebo and grass area next to the Randy Kugler Community Hall in Philomath City Park.
Sponsored by the Philomath Park Advisory Board, the series features free concerts on the third Thursday and fourth Sunday each month from May through August.
The series will conclude on Sunday, Aug. 29, with an appearance by DTW.
Scruggs & the Steelbenders have made several appearances in the region, including in Philomath. Past appearances have included the Philomath Frolic & Rodeo, the Benton County Public Safety Chili Cook-Off and an earlier visit to Music in the Park.
Food and refreshments will be available for purchase. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets for seating. A donation jar is also available with proceeds going to the Philomath Performing Arts Benefit Fund.
