The Philomath School Board plans to meet at 7 p.m. Monday for its regular monthly meeting.
The board will discuss and possibly vote on its preferred calendar for the 2021-22 and 2022-23 academic years. A discussion on the district’s five-year technology plan will also be a topic, along with a facility update and safety plan updates.
Philomath High’s graduation ceremony will be discussed as well with the proposed date set for June 5. The district’s preliminary plan will be to have two ceremonies at 10 a.m. and noon, although that could be reduced to a single ceremony if county pandemic metrics allow.
The school board will hold the meeting via Zoom. The public can watch the live feed on the school board’s YouTube channel at this link.
Among the other items on the agenda:
• The board will vote on a consent agenda, which includes an instructional assistant hours adjustment and approval of out-of-state travel to Alaska in December for the boys and girls basketball teams.
• The board will issue a proclamation for Teacher Appreciation Week.
• The board will hear reports from student government, the teacher and classified unions, superintendent of schools and director of finance.
• The board also sets aside time near the end of the meeting for anything they would like to report along with thank-yous.
