The Philomath School Board plans to meet Monday evening for its regular monthly meeting with Budget Committee appointments, policy revision approvals and the swearing in of a student representative among the items on the agenda.

The meeting is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. in the Philomath School District office’s conference room. The board’s regular meeting usually falls on the third Thursday each month but because of a scheduling conflict with school activities, it was moved up to Dec. 12.

The meeting agenda includes the swearing in of Philomath High sophomore Jackson Holroyd as a student representative to the board. Although the position allows for meeting participation, the student will not be a voting member

The School Board also plans to fill a Budget Committee seat. The vacancy attracted four applicants — Nicholas Carter, Sandi Hering, Lauri Lehman and Woodros A. Wolford.

Among the other items on the agenda — various policy revision approvals, Oregon School Boards Association elections, discussion about a contract with OSBA to perform a superintendent evaluation and reports from the superintendent, financial director, associations, advisory committees and PHS student government.

The PSD office is located at 1620 Applegate St., with access to the meeting through a door at the back of the building. Meetings are also livestreamed on the school district’s YouTube channel.
