After a year of due diligence and operational exploration, Samaritan Health Services and Santiam Hospital and Clinics announced Thursday their mutual decision to cease pursuit of formal affiliation, officials announced.
Patient care at both organizations should not be impacted by the decision, Samaritan Health Services said through a news release.
Both organizations said they will continue to look for ways to collaborate that might benefit their communities, which stretch from the mid-Willamette Valley to the central Oregon Coast.
