In connection with National Distracted Driving Awareness Month, the Highway 20 Safety Group and Citizens Advisory Committee is offering a Safety Drive event on Saturday, April 12, in Blodgett.
The event will run from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. across from Blodgett Country Store.
Organizers said Safety Drive will provide information on distracted driving and driving safely. Free bumper stickers will be available while they last. The group also wants to bring more awareness to its group and goals.
National Distracted Driving Awareness Month takes place each April and was established to raise awareness about the dangers of distracted driving and encourage safer driving habits. The initiative began in 2010, following the efforts of organizations like the National Safety Council and advocacy from families affected by distracted driving incidents.
