The Philomath Youth Activities Club is taking orders for the fall delivery of firewood, an activity that serves as one of the organization’s primary fundraisers.
PYAC’s firewood project dates back to 2001 with more than 1,000 cords sold over the past 23 years. Organizers hope to match last year’s total of 100 cords sold.
To order, call 541-929-4040 or send an email to PYAC@peak.org. Per cord prices are seasoned fir, $250; seasoned mix of maple, fir and alder, $300; seasoned mix of fir, maple, oak, madrone and ash, $350; and seasoned straight hardwood mix of maple, oak and madrone, $400.
There is a $25 fee for all orders delivered under two cords. The primary delivery date has been scheduled for Sept. 30.
Organizers are also looking for anyone who would like to be involved with the project through the donation of wood, equipment or time.
