PYAC still accepting registrations for fall sports

The Philomath Youth Activities Club is still accepting applications for its fall sports programs, which include volleyball (grades 4-8), tackle football (grades 5-8) and flag football (grades 3-4). The club is planning a regularly-scheduled season without restrictions.

For tackle football, fifth and sixth graders play in the Valley League. Weight limits apply for ball carriers. Seventh and eighth graders play in the school league and are held to academic standards. Teams can expect limited travel across the valley. The season runs from late August to early November. Link to tackle football registration form.

In flag football, PYAC has joined the Valley League in the NFL Flag Football program. Games will be held mainly in Philomath and Corvallis with possible travel across the valley. The season runs September and October. Link to flag football registration form.

In volleyball, students in grades 4-6 play in the Valley League, and seventh and eighth graders play in the school league and are held to academic standards. All teams can expect limited travel across the valley. The season runs in September and October. Link to volleyball registration form.

Even though fall seventh and eighth grade sports are played through the school league, PYAC does not require physicals from the student-athletes.
