The Philomath City Council’s regular monthly meeting on Monday, July 11, features an agenda that provides an opportunity for the public to share views on proposed updates to the city’s “economy” chapter in its comprehensive plan.

The chapter relates to economic development policies. Public hearings typically take place near the beginning of the meeting.

Other items on the agenda include review of the Inclusivity Committee’s goals and objectives, discussion and possible vote on a resolution proclaiming inclusivity in Philomath, a vote on an ordinance to repeal the general fund fee and a discussion and vote on the establishment of a Heritage Tree program.

The council plans to adjourn into an executive session near the end of the meeting to discuss a real property transaction. Executive sessions are closed to the general public.

Councilors plan to begin the evening at 5:30 with a work session for a discussion on the city’s downtown revitalization plan.
