The Psss group, Philomath Sensational Senior Society, is keeping active and has a couple of new things to announce.

First of all, we have a brand-spanking-new email dedicated to PSSS information. If you would like to be on our email list, please write to us at philomathseniors@gmail.com.

We will only send out announcements one or two times a month. It is the easiest way to keep up with our various happenings.

Secondly, thanks to the members and board of the Philomath Rebekahs Lodge, we have a new place to meet! They have graciously offered to share their space with us, and we think it is great! That means all of our upcoming, regular second-Tuesday-of-the-month meetings will now be held at the Rebekahs Lodge, 148 N. 13th St., which can be found at the intersection of 13th and College. We are so grateful for their kindness and philosophy of community service.

March happenings

Tuesday, March 3, 10 a.m. — We will do our first Tuesday of the month meeting at Maxtivity to create crafts and, more importantly, laugh and have some fun. Maxtivity is located at 1604 Main St. in Philomath. You do not have to be a gifted crafter. All seniors are welcome, and you can just drop in to get to know us.

Tuesday, March 10, 10 a.m. — We will have our regular second Tuesday of the month meeting at Rebekahs Lodge. Last month we learned about home and general safety from a very kind Brian Horn, a deputy from the Benton County Sheriff’s Office. We had a good discussion and learned some tips. This month, we will be having a game day with board games and the like. If you would like to bring cookies to share, please do, but it is not required. We will also get acquainted with our new location. There will be coffee and tea available .

Anyone over 55 can join us; it is free and we would love for you to come.
