DAILY REPORTS

FRIDAY, APRIL 5

• 2:24 p.m. — Police responded to a crash at Main Street and 14th Street involving a vehicle that rear-ended another vehicle at the crosswalk. No injuries were reported.

Other calls: Police responses included motorist assistance at 1:20 a.m. (South 14th Street and Main Street), motorist assistance at 6:02 a.m. (Main Street), parking complaint at 11:18 a.m. (College Street), suspicious person at 11:42 a.m. (Applegate Street), search warrant at 5:41 p.m. (Applegate Street), disorderly conduct at 6:14 p.m. (Main Street), mental health situation at 7:52 p.m. (North Eighth Street), juvenile complaint at 9:34 p.m. (Topaz Street) and citizen assistance at 9:47 p.m. (location not reported). In addition, police assisted the Benton County Sheriff’s Office on a call at 1:47 a.m. (Heritage Hills Drive). PPD reported no traffic stops.

SATURDAY, APRIL 6

• 9:50 p.m. — Police arrested Chad R. Tennant, 27, of Salem, on a felony charge of possession of a stolen vehicle and a misdemeanor charge of driving while suspended in the 100 block of South 14th Street.

Other calls: Police responses included a welfare check at 5:09 p.m. (North Eighth Street) and a dog barking (South 15th Street). In addition, police assisted another agency on a call at 4:39 a.m. (location not reported). PPD reported two traffic stops.

SUNDAY, APRIL 7

• 9:29 a.m. — Police took a report of an alleged sex offense at a residence in west Philomath. No other details were made available other than a report was taken and assigned a case number. 

• 4:34 p.m. — Police arrested a 59-year-old Corvallis man on multiple warrants in the 800 block of Main Street.

Other calls: Police responses included an animal complaint at 9:54 a.m. (North 12th Street). PPD reported one traffic stop.

MONDAY, APRIL 8

• 7:46 a.m. — Police responded to a report of disorderly conduct at North Eighth Street and Main Street and issued a warning to an adult male for screaming in public.

• Time NA — Police arrested a juvenile on a charge of physical harassment molestation/fondling following an investigation from a report in February.

Other calls: Police responses included dogs at large at 9:21 a.m. (South 23rd Street), citizen assistance at 2:37 p.m. (location not reported), parking complaint at 6:14 p.m. (College Street) and recovered property at 10:16 p.m. (Applegate Street). PPD reported one traffic stop.

TUESDAY, APRIL 9

• 2:57 p.m. — Police responded to a report of an adult female who had received a text message from an unknown person demanding money while threatening to distribute photos.

Other calls: Police responses included a welfare check at 11:38 p.m. (Pioneer Street). PPD reported two traffic stops.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 10

• 1:29 p.m. — Police responded to a report of theft in the 100 block of North 14th Street. No other details were made available other than a report was taken and assigned a case number. 

• 5:48 p.m. — Police responded to a report of an unknown adult male who sent explicit pictures to a juvenile. The case remained under investigation.

• Time NA — Police arrested a 56-year-old woman (city of residence unknown) on a warrant at Grange Hall Road and Fern Road.

Other calls: Police responses included recovered property at 6:28 a.m. (Applegate Street), noise disturbance at 12:25 p.m. (Houser Lane) and a welfare check at 2:27 p.m. (Neabeack Hill Drive). PPD reported three traffic stops.

THURSDAY, APRIL 11

• 3:55 a.m. — Police arrested a 42-year-old Corvallis man and a 38-year-old Corvallis woman on outstanding warrants during a traffic stop at Southwest Philomath Boulevard and Southwest Country Club Drive in Corvallis. Both individuals were issued citations in lieu of custody.

Other calls: Police responses included a disturbance at 8:59 a.m. (Applegate Street and South 14th Street), welfare check at 10:05 a.m. (North Ninth Street), threats made at 2:07 p.m. (Houser Lane), traffic hazard at 2:20 p.m. (Highway 20 and Highway 34) and reckless driving at 6:39 p.m. (North 19th Street and College Street). PPD reported two traffic stops.

SATURDAY, MARCH 30

• 4:05 p.m. — Police took a report of third-degree theft from a vehicle in the 200 block of Washburn Street, Brownsville.

• 6:32 p.m. — Police took a report of third-degree theft from a vehicle in the 600 block of West Oak Street, Lebanon.

SUNDAY, MARCH 31

• 7:39 p.m. — Police took a report of theft in the 1600 block of Pioneer Street involving insulin taken from a residence sometime around March 29.

THURSDAY, APRIL 4

• 1:44 p.m. — Police took a report of theft in the 100 block of South Ninth Street involving a recycling cart that had disappeared from a residence at some point during the past year.

• 3:11 p.m. — Police responded to a crash at the intersection of 14th Street and Main Street involving a driver who failed to yield to a log truck in an area where two lanes were merging into one lane in a construction area. The vehicle was damaged on the rear driver’s side.
