FRIDAY, APRIL 12

Other calls: Police responses included unsecured premises at 4:26 a.m. (Timothy Street), suicidal subject at 5:51 p.m., noise disturbance at 10:02 p.m. (Main Street) and citizen contact at 10:45 p.m. (Main Street). In addition, police assisted the Benton County Sheriff’s Office on calls at 7:42 p.m. (Blitz Lane, Blodgett) and 8:18 p.m. (Highway 20/34). PPD reported seven traffic stops.
SATURDAY, APRIL 13
• 3:14 p.m. — Police responded to a report of harassment with physical contact/simple assault at a location on South Ninth Street. No other details were made available other than a report was taken and assigned a case number.
Other calls: Police responses included a city ordinance violation at 2:10 a.m. (South 11th Street), foot patrol at 2:14 a.m. (South 11th Street), trespassing at 9:18 a.m. (North 10th Street) and an identity theft report at 12:13 p.m. (Pioneer Street). In addition, police assisted the Benton County Sheriff’s Office on a call at 4:47 a.m. (Bellfountain Road and Greenberry Road, Corvallis). PPD reported two traffic stops.
SUNDAY, APRIL 14
• 4:06 p.m. — Police took a report of an alleged sex-related offense at a location in east Philomath. No other details were made available other than a report was taken and assigned a case number.
Other calls: Police responses included a traffic complaint at 9:31 a.m. (Chapel Drive and Deer Creek Way) and an uncategorized criminal offense at 6:09 p.m. (North 19th Street). PPD reported four traffic stops.
MONDAY, APRIL 15
• 12:42 p.m. — Police returned a recovered handgun to its owner.
Other calls: Police responses included a road kill report at 7:22 a.m. (Applegate Street), suspicious circumstance at 7:05 p.m. (Main Street), welfare check at 7:46 p.m. (Highway 20 and Woods Creek Road) and a dog at large situation at 8:20 p.m. (Applegate Street and South 24th Street). PPD reported no traffic stops.
TUESDAY, APRIL 16
• 10:32 a.m. — Police took a report of fraud in the 900 block of Applegate Street involving theft from a local business.
• 4:56 p.m. — Police took a report of an alleged sex-related offense at a location in midtown Philomath. No other details were made available other than a report was taken and assigned a case number.

FOLLOW-UP REPORTS
• 8:56 a.m. — Police responded to a crash involving a garbage truck and dump truck at the intersection of South 13th Street and Cedar Street. No injuries were reported. According to the investigation, a Corpac Construction dump truck driver passed a stopped Republic Services garbage truck on South 13th in the adjacent lane when the garbage truck made a left turn. The two trucks collided with most of the damage to the front end of the garbage truck, estimated at $4,200.
• 3:11 p.m. — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of 14th Street and Main Street. No injuries were reported. According to the investigation, a motorist failed to yield to a log truck when two lanes on Main Street merged to one lane in a construction area. The car was damaged on the rear driver’s side.
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 10
• 1:29 p.m. — Police responded to a report of the theft of towels at Eco Express Laundry. A customer reported that she had put a load of hand towels into a dryer at around 9 p.m. April 9 and left. Video surveillance shows that an adult white male took the towels from the dryer and put them in a large black duffel bag before getting into a tan-colored vehicle in the parking lot. No license plate number could be obtained from the video.
