The Philomath City Council continues to accept applications to fill a vacant position on the Planning Commission but the deadline to be considered for the seat is coming up on June 1.
The person appointed to the position would serve out the remainder of Joey McGlinchy’s term, which expires on Dec. 31, 2024.
To be eligible, applicants must be a registered voter and reside within the city limits or the city’s urban growth boundary. The City Council will interview applicants and make a selection at its June 14 meeting.
For those interested, contact City Recorder Ruth Post at City Hall, 980 Applegate St., or by calling 541-929-6148 for more information or to receive an application form. Application forms are also available on the city’s website.
